International Women’s Day programme at ICAR-DCR, Puttur
A programme has been organized at ICAR-DCR, Puttur on the occasion of International Women’s Day- 2026 on 9th March, 2026. The programme started with National Song. Mrs. Chandravati, T., Advocate, Puttur Taluk who was the chief guest of this programme, spoke about the importance of celebrating International Women’s Day programme. There was a detailed presentation on the theme, ‘Give to Gain’, by Ms. Chaithra, ICAR-DCR, Puttur. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. J.D. Adiga, Director, ICAR-DCR, Puttur, who spoke about the different roles of women played in a society. During the occasion, Mrs. Chandravati, T., Advocate and member of ICC, ICAR-Puttur and Mrs. Mohini, Krishi Sakhi, Sullia were felicitated for their active involvement and support in the activities of the institute towards empowering women. The staff of ICAR-DCR, Puttur actively participated in the programme and shared their views on ‘Woman who inspired me’. The programme ended with National Anthem.
