General Terms

  • The concerned University/College should have MoU with the ICAR-DCR, Puttur to admit the students from their university
  • The proposal for signing an MoU may be e-mailed by the concerned authorities of the University to director.dcr@icar.gov.in or dircajures@gmail.com

Eligibility

The students who have registered for their M.Sc./M.Tech/ M.Phil and wish to do their project/dissertation work at ICAR-DCR, Puttur may approach the Directorate through concerned Universities by e-mail to director.dcr@icar.gov.in or dircajures@gmail.com.

The students may directly contact the faculty/scientists of their subject ( https://cashewresearch.in/scientific/ ) for availability and work plan beforehand.

Fee Structure

Students from national agricultural research system

  • No fee shall be charged for the students registered with AU/DU under NARS.
  • If such student is getting Fellowship from ICAR/CSIR/UGC, then the contingency grant allotted to the student need to be transferred to the ICAR institute.

Students outside NARS (central/state/private universities)

Training/Internship (No leading to dissertation/degree)

Rs. 10,000/- for training duration of three months not leading to a dissertation/degree.

Training / research / dissertation

Rs. 20,000/- upto duration of 3 months

Rs. 30,000/- per semester for work exceeding 3 months.

General Terms & Conditions

  • Selection is based on vacancy available with individual scientists.
  • The candidates who join for training programme should abide by the rules and regulations of the institute.
  • The findings of the study would be the property of the institute and prior permission of the Director, ICAR-Directorate of Cashew Research, Puttur is required before publication of the work in any form.
  • The candidate must complete the work to the satisfaction of the scientist mentor and submit a report to the Directorate in hard copy as well as softcopy.
  • The candidates should make their own arrangements for boarding and lodging while undergoing the training programme, if necessary.
  • The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • The decision of Director of the Institute would be final and binding in all aspects.

The students may informally discuss with the scientists of their subject about the availability and work plan ( https://cashewresearch.in/scientific/ ).

Eligible candidates may send their application along with the following documents, clearly indicating the subject and period of the training/dissertation, by e-mail to director.dcr@icar.gov.in or dircajures@gmail.com

  1. Biodata (with Contact phone No. and E.mail ID)
  2. Self-attested copies of M.Sc./M.Tech. certificate & marksheet
