In Integrated pest management, a system-oriented approach is needed.  A clear understanding of not only the target insect pests, but also associated natural enemies and their interaction is a pre-requisite before formulating an effective management module. In cashew agro-ecosystem, several beneficial insects like predators, parasitoids and pollinators are abundant.  Natural conservation and/ or employing these natural enemies in managing the insect-pests is one important component in integrated pest management strategy. Many are generalist predators of arthropod- pest complex. In most circumstances, natural enemies manage the pests effectively especially several minor pests of cashew.

The details of important beneficial insects like natural enemies of different cashew pests, silk worm occurring of cashew and the pollinators of cashew are presented here for general information to the end users.
