Professional Summary
Joined as an ARS scientist (Plant Breeding) in the year 2008 at ICAR-CPRI-Regional Station, Patna and worked as a potato breeder till April 2012. Then joined ICAR-DCR Puttur in April 2012 through transfer and worked as a cashew breeder. I have 4 years of work experience in potato breeding and 13 years of experience in cashew breeding as of now. Presently working as Principal Scientist (Plant Breeding) at ICAR-DCR Puttur. Following are the brief achievements in my career.
• Undergone three months foreign training on Apomixis sponsored by NAIP-ICAR at the Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research, Gatersleben, Germany.
• Associated with the release of potato variety Kufri Lalith as a Co-Investigator.
• Developed and released cashew variety Nethra Ubhaya as a Principal Investigator.
• Associated with the release of 5 cashew varieties Nethra Ganga, Nethra Jumbo-1, Nethra Vaaman, Nethra Jumbo-2 and Nethra Samriddhi as a Co-Investigator.
