About the Scientist

Brief Work Experience

Professional Summary

My research focuses on crop production, plant physiology, biochemistry and nutraceutical studies in plantation, medicinal and aromatic crops, with special emphasis on sustainable cashew production. I have worked on the physiological and biochemical characterization of horticultural crops and contributed to research on crop improvement and quality enhancement.

My research experience includes studies on elemental composition, chlorophyll estimation, vegetative propagation, seed germination and seedling growth in economically important plantation and medicinal crops such as betel vine, sandalwood and Mucuna. These studies have contributed to improving crop production technologies and understanding plant physiological responses.

I have also undergone advanced professional training in molecular biology, comparative genomics and genetic transformation techniques at premier research institutions, strengthening my expertise in horticultural research. In addition to research, I actively organize capacity-building programmes, deliver lectures and training programmes for farmers, students and stakeholders, promoting scientific knowledge transfer and sustainable agricultural practices.
